Privacy notice

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This notice explains how personal information is used when you visit this website or make an initial enquiry. It does not cover the detailed handling of information during a consultancy assignment; that will be addressed as part of the engagement.

Who is responsible for your information?

Sean Walsh, a sole trader trading as SW Consulting, based in Dublin, Ireland, is the data controller. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@swconsulting.ie.

Information collected

When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, any organisation or service details you provide, your message and subsequent correspondence. Our hosting and form provider may also process technical information such as IP address, browser details, request times and security or spam-detection information.

Your first name, email address and message are required to handle a form enquiry; other fields are optional. Please do not include health information, allegations, employee records or other sensitive personal details in an initial enquiry. We can discuss an appropriate way to exchange further information if needed.

Why we use information and our legal basis

The enquiry form does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use enquiry details for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers and sharing

Netlify provides website hosting and processes and stores website form submissions. Enquiries may also be handled through our email service provider. Information may be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Netlify is a US-based provider and personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Netlify describes its data-processing terms and safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, on its data protection page. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept for as long as needed to respond, deal with relevant follow-up and maintain records necessary for any resulting engagement. In deciding when information is no longer needed, we consider whether the enquiry is closed, whether it leads to an engagement, and any applicable legal obligations or need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted from form records and correspondence.

Cookies and website measurement

We have not added advertising trackers or analytics cookies to this website. Hosting and security services may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. This notice will be updated if the website introduces additional tracking; consent will be requested where required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent for any separate processing, you may withdraw it without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

Email info@swconsulting.ie to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity. You also have the right to complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.
